What feature would you like to see?

AWS GovCloud support for the Codex CLI was added on May 21 here:
https://github.com/openai/codex/pull/23860

and then reverted here on May 27:
https://github.com/openai/codex/pull/24690

Since these PRs, AWS rolled out GPT-5.4 in GovCloud (us-gov-west-1) earlier this month. Given this change, Can GovCloud support be restored in Codex CLI?

Having this restored would help organizations with AWS SSO use GPT 5.4 in Bedrock GovCloud via the AWS SDK credentials chain:

Otherwise, we need to create long-term API keys which creates AWS IAM users under the hood, or constantly create new short-term Bedrock API Keys.

I also want to use Codex with GovCloud Bedrock Mantle, and authenticate with AWS SSO. Especially now that 5.6 Luna and Terra are available! I built Codex from source to add back support for us-gov-west-1 and everything seemed to work as expected. I don't want my coworkers to have to go through this though.

@celia-oai and @CHARLESPALEN-OAI would it be possible for someone to revisit this?
