Feedback and issue body on the uploaded thread. I wish the /feedback command would have told me that I'd need to open an issue and rewrite the whole body.
TLDR:
- I hate to review changes / diff in Codex CLI because when I start typing the scroll view jumps to the bottom instead of staying in place where the change / diff is located.
- When I queue a message that is related but "non-important" the model steers too hard to complete it. Would be better if it acknowledged the request, queued it himself as a TODO later, finishes current task / job / work, and then addresses the new request.
Example for the second point:
- Working on feature
- Uses skills/coding-guidelines
- We find a bug in the coding-guidelines
- Queue a message saying that we should fix the skills
^ here the model steers and instantly goes into fixing the skill instead of acknowledging the request, finishing the feature first and then fixing the skills. We already know the skill is wrong. We already know the correct way to working in the feature. Steering into fixing the skill:
1) Leaves the user unconfident if the model is going to finish the feature
2) I sometimes did see that it won't finish the feature because the "fix the skill" request is done.
What steps can reproduce the bug?
