New Chat: Make "Work in a project" consistent + configure behaviour regarding active project + Ctrl+Tab

What variant of Codex are you using?
App on macOS
What feature would you like to see?
When doing New Chat, there are 3 issues:
- When clicking on New Chat (top level entry in the left bar), the app always selects the last project I worked on. Instead, make it configurable: Either the last project (like now) or No project. With the last project already filled, it is easy to start a thread in the wrong context.
- If the Work in Project is changed from the the default (when I first click on New Chat), if I go to another thread to look at it and come back to the New Chat window, the chosen project is changed automatically to that project I looked at. It should not change: When I changed it explicitly myself in New Chat, the intent was clear and it should stay the same.
- The New Chat tab, even if I changed the project, or entered text in the field, does not appear in the Ctrl+Tab. So to get back to it, I have to click again on New Chat with the mouse. I think it should appear in the list of chats with Ctrl+Tab.
Also, once in a thread, the Work in Project chosen is not displayed in the thread. If you use Chronological list for the chats, it is impossible to know which project was chosen for an existing thread.
