Codex App Update Too Frequently

Corporate

What platform is your computer?

Mac

What issue are you seeing?

Codex App Update Too Frequently, almost every several days.
The updates are not backward compatible with SSH codex CLI and connection fails after the update.

In corporate, the SSH CLI version on dev machines cannot keep up with the frequent codex app update.
And one cannot disable the codex app auto update, it always update after it's restart, then break the SSH connection.

What steps can reproduce the bug?

Use codex app everyday with SSH to a remote machine, it will break fairly soon because of not compatible with the remote codex CLI.

What is the expected behavior?

Allow to disable auto-update.
Or
Backward compatible with codex CLI.
