Stop button broken

What issue are you seeing?

The Stop button does not work while Codex is generating a response. Clicking it has no effect, and Codex continues generating the entire response until it finishes.

I am unable to interrupt the generation, making the Stop button effectively useless.

What steps can reproduce the bug?

What is the expected behavior?

Start a new conversation with Codex.
Ask a question that takes several seconds to answer.
While Codex is generating its response, click the Stop button.
Nothing happens. The response continues until completion.

Additional information

The issue happens every time. The Stop button is displayed and appears clickable, but it does not interrupt the response generation. I have attached a screenshot showing the Stop button while Codex is generating a response.
