Built-in Codex pets show a large black background instead of transparency

Issue:
Built-in Codex pets display a large black rectangular background instead of a transparent background.

Expected behavior:
The pet overlay should render with transparent background, showing only the pet sprite.

Actual behavior:
A large black rectangle appears behind/around the pet. The pet itself renders, but the transparent overlay area is black.

Steps tried:

• Restarted the pet multiple times.
• Restarted the Codex app multiple times.
• Confirmed Codex is already on the latest version.
• Tried multiple built-in pets, and the same black background appears with different pets.

This does not appear to be caused by a specific pet asset, because it happens with multiple built-in pets. It looks like a transparent overlay / window compositing / GPU rendering issue on Windows.

What steps can reproduce the bug?

1. Open the Codex desktop app on Windows.
2. Enable a built-in Codex pet.
3. Observe the pet overlay on the desktop.
4. Restart the pet and observe the overlay again.
5. Restart the Codex app and enable the pet again.
6. Switch to another built-in pet.
7. Observe that the same black rectangular background appears behind/around multiple built-in pets.

Notes:

• This happens with multiple built-in pets, not only one pet.
• Restarting the pet does not fix it.
• Restarting the Codex app does not fix it.
• Codex is already updated to the latest available version.

What is the expected behavior?

The built-in Codex pet should render as a transparent desktop overlay.

Only the pet sprite should be visible, and the transparent area around the pet should show the desktop/background behind it.

There should not be a large black rectangle behind or around the pet.
