Codex Desktop composer resize drag only increases height and cannot shrink

What issue are you seeing?
In Codex Desktop, when dragging/resizing the composer/input box, the input area keeps getting taller but cannot be shrunk back down. Repeated drag attempts continue to increase the composer height, leaving the input area stuck too large.
This makes the desktop UI progressively harder to use because the enlarged composer takes space away from the conversation area and there does not appear to be an in-app way to restore the original height.
I searched existing openai/codex issues for related terms such as textarea resize desktop, input height drag shrink desktop, and composer height drag resize shrink, but did not find the same symptom. Related composer/input issues exist, but they appear to cover different behavior such as input focus, overlay rendering, or paste handling.
What steps can reproduce the bug?
- Open Codex Desktop on Windows.
- Focus the bottom composer/input box.
- Drag the composer/input resize handle or resize area so the input box becomes taller.
- Try to drag it back down / make it shorter.
- Repeat the drag a few times.
What is the expected behavior?
The composer/input box should support resizing in both directions, or it should clamp to a reasonable min/max height and allow returning to the default height.
What is the actual behavior?
The composer/input box height only increases while dragging and cannot be reduced again. Repeated dragging keeps making it taller.
Workaround
Restarting Codex Desktop or switching context can temporarily reset the input height, but the issue can happen again when dragging the composer.
