What version of the Codex App are you using (From “About Codex” dialog)?

26.623.41415 build 4505

What subscription do you have?

ChatGPT Pro 5x

What platform is your computer?

Darwin 25.5.0 arm64 arm

What issue are you seeing?

After Codex works for some time, the chat composer stops accepting typed prompts. Clicking the composer does not help. Cmd+J, Cmd+K, and Cmd+Shift+P also do not recover input. The app still appears to be running, but I cannot type follow-up prompts until I quit and reopen Codex.

Restarting Codex restores the ability to type.

What steps can reproduce the bug?

Feedback ID: 019f06d2-2f51-7033-b048-7b5fbf2c57b1

What is the expected behavior?

The composer should continue accepting typed follow-up prompts while Codex is running. If focus gets stuck, keyboard shortcuts or clicking the composer should recover it without needing to restart the whole app.
