What issue are you seeing?

Summary

Locked Computer Use cannot be enabled on my Intel Mac.

Computer Use itself works correctly:

  • Chrome extension connects successfully.
  • Browser automation works normally.

However, the "Locked Computer Use" toggle remains permanently disabled (greyed out). There is no option to install the required SecurityAgent Plugin.

Environment

  • Codex Desktop 26.623.42026
  • macOS 26.5.1 (25F80)
  • Intel Core i7 (x86_64)

Investigation

I checked several things:

1. SecurityAgentPlugins directory

Could you please confirm whether Locked Computer Use is currently supported on Intel Macs, or whether this is a bug in the current release?

What steps can reproduce the bug?

  1. Install the latest Codex Desktop on an Intel Mac (x86_64).
  2. Grant all requested permissions (Accessibility and Screen Recording).
  3. Enable Computer Use.
  4. Connect the Chrome extension successfully.
  5. Open Settings → Computer Use.
  6. Observe that "Locked Computer Use" remains disabled (greyed out) with no option to install the SecurityAgent Plugin.

What is the expected behavior?
