What version of the Codex App are you using (From “About Codex” dialog)?
26.623.12021
What subscription do you have?
remaining quota reset to zero after update
What platform is your computer?
Darwin 25.5.0 arm64 arm
What issue are you seeing?
- Before the update, I still had remaining Codex usage quota.
- After updating Codex, the quota was shown as zero / fully consumed.
- The consumption speed does not seem proportional to the actual number of requests or interactions.
What steps can reproduce the bug?
Expected behavior
- Updating Codex should not clear or reset the remaining quota.
- Usage quota should decrease according to actual usage.
- If the quota calculation logic changed after the update, it should be clearly documented.
- If the displayed quota is only a UI issue, the actual remaining quota should still be preserved.
Actual behavior
- The remaining quota became zero after the update.
- Quota consumption appears abnormally fast.
- It is unclear whether this is caused by:
- incorrect quota accounting,
- a UI display bug,
- background/retry requests,
- duplicated requests,
- or a change in the quota calculation rules.
Environment
- Product: Codex
- Version: latest version after update
- Platform: macOS
- Account plan: ChatGPT Plus
- Usage pattern: normal interactive Codex usage
What is the expected behavior?
