Google-linked account incorrectly suspended with no notification; appeal rejected due to 180-day window
What issue are you seeing?
My OpenAI account, which is linked to a Google account, has been suspended without any formal notification sent to the associated Gmail address. I have no memory of violating any OpenAI usage policies, and I have never used this account for any activity that violates your terms of service.
When I tried to file an appeal to restore access, I was notified that my request would not be reviewed because it falls outside the 180-day appeal window. However, since I never received any suspension email at all, I had no way of knowing the account had been disabled, and therefore could not submit an appeal within the required timeframe.
As a result, I am currently unable to either register a new OpenAI account or successfully appeal to have my existing account reinstated. I am a university student who relies on GPT models to support my academic studies and research work.
I am fully prepared to provide any required verification documents or information to prove my identity and account ownership. I sincerely hope the team can conduct a fresh review of my case and help restore my account access. My request id is e667f13e-9f7b-4c8d-825e-c369e0c4d44f.

What steps can reproduce the bug?
- Attempt to log in to my Google-linked OpenAI account, and confirm the account is in a suspended state.
- Check the corresponding Gmail inbox; no suspension notice or warning email is found.
- Submit an account suspension appeal through the official appeal channel.
- Receive an automatic reply stating the appeal is not accepted, as the case exceeds the 180-day appeal window.
- No further valid appeal path is available, and new account registration is also affected.
