What issue are you seeing?

I have been using Codex through the ChatGPT Plus plan for the past week without any issues. However, today I suddenly started experiencing extremely high token usage.

I am using the same prompts for the same tasks as before, but a single prompt unexpectedly consumed more than 53% of my 5-hour token limit, which severely disrupted my workflow.

Based on my usage over the past week, each prompt would normally consume only 2–3% of the 5-hour limit. Today's spike in token consumption is completely unexpected and seems abnormal.

Could you please investigate whether there is an issue with token accounting or if something has changed on the backend?

What steps can reproduce the bug?

For me, its occuring at every prompt I am giving it today
