Pasting emoji crashes Codex app on macOS

The Codex app crashes on macOS when pasting emoji into the app.

What steps can reproduce the bug?

1. Open the Codex app on macOS.
2. Click into an input field.
3. Paste an emoji.
4. The app crashes.

What is the expected behavior?

Additional information

With help from Codex CLI, I found that deleting ~/.codex/.codex-global-state.json resolves the issue temporarily. This may indicate the crash is related to corrupted or incompatible global state data.
