Usage limits draining 5-10x too fast for 2 weeks, one message eats 46% of the 5h window

Hi, opening this after uploading feedback from the CLI, id above.
Whats happening: since around mid June my Codex usage limits burn about 5-10x faster than normal, and it looks disconnected from actual token usage.
The two things that make no sense:
- I was on vacation and barely used Codex, but ~30% of my limit was already gone.
- I just sent ONE message and it ate 46% of my 5 hour window. One message can't cost that on this plan, so the accounting is clearly off.
This has been going on for 2 weeks. I'm on the paid plan (100x5).
Network clue: switching to a US IP fixed it for a while, but today that stopped helping too and its draining fast again. Feels like the anti abuse filter got widened.
I think its related to the rate limiter incident on the status page, id 01KW2E6W0503W4NXJNCVAG8V6T. Affected users apparently got quota resets but my account never got fixed.

recently I haven't sent a single message at all, and I've completely run out of tokens

I'm experiencing the same problem. My codex quota draining unusually fast.
Experienced both issues here.
I tested today a simple 'hi' with gpt-5.4-mini with light thinking with no project - under 'Chats'- and that driange my 5hr usage from 99% to ~ 84% and after the session ended already it kept going down to 73% ...!
Same here, the credit usage is definitely not normal. So is there any good way to fix this? Aaargh! I'm so frustrated!
I encountered a similar problem. I have stopped subscribing until the problem is resolved.
