What issue are you seeing?

I was able to resolve the issue, but I think I figured out what happened. My guess is that the latest update no longer accepted my existing configuration, although there wasn't any feedback indicating that was the problem.

The CLI entered a strange state where pressing Enter would immediately queue the message, but nothing was actually sent. I also couldn't change the model. I tried signing out and back in, but the behavior was the same.

I remembered a previous issue where an update introduced configuration incompatibilities, so I deleted my config.toml. After that, everything started working normally.

It would be helpful if the CLI could either detect and report configuration incompatibilities or provide some indication of what went wrong. Without any error message or warning, it was difficult to know where to start troubleshooting, and I ended up spending quite a while tracking it down.

What steps can reproduce the bug?

type codex into a windows terminal connected to windows, wsl, or a remote arm64 server and hit enter

What is the expected behavior?

when i hit enter it sends the message instead of queuing it

it also causes the app-service and the desktop cli to hang as well
