Environment

  • Codex Version: Latest Release as of 07/03/2026
  • Subscription Tier: Pro

Description

Currently, there is no real-time synchronization feature between the Codex App and the Codex Client. Changes made in one interface do not automatically reflect in the other. Adding real-time bi-directional synchronization would ensure a seamless user experience and prevent data inconsistency.

Proposed Behavior

  • Updates, state changes, and modifications made in the Codex App should instantly propagate to the Codex Client in real time without requiring a manual refresh.
  • Updates made in the Codex Client should sync back to the Codex App instantly.

Current Limitation

Data does not synchronize automatically because the real-time syncing feature has not been implemented. Users must manually refresh or trigger an update to see changes.

What steps can reproduce the bug?

Use both at the same time and they are not sync in real time.

What is the expected behavior?

Updates, state changes, and modifications made in the Codex App should instantly propagate to the Codex Client in real time without requiring a manual refresh.
Updates made in the Codex Client should sync back to the Codex App instantly.
