I’m seeing two UI issues in the Windows Microsoft Store version of Codex.

1) Vertical arrow controls shown in the Projects list

In the left sidebar Projects list, a vertical stack of up/down arrow controls appears on the far right side of the project rows. These controls do not seem to have any meaningful function and look like leaked native scrollbar buttons or an overflow rendering issue.

Expected behavior:
The Projects list should render normally without extra vertical arrow controls.

2) Inconsistent localization after switching between Chinese and English

After changing the app language between Chinese and English, the top menu bar and Help submenu become inconsistent.

  • When the app language is set to Chinese, parts of the app are translated, but some top menu / Help submenu items remain in English.
  • When the app language is set to English, most of the UI is in English, but the Help menu still contains a Chinese item such as “关于 Codex”.

Expected behavior:
When Chinese is selected, the menu system should be consistently in Chinese.
When English is selected, the menu system should be consistently in English.

Notes

  • App version: 26.623.101652
  • Distribution: Microsoft Store
  • I already fully quit and reopened the app after changing language, but the issue still persists.
  • I can provide screenshots if needed.

If needed, I can provide screenshots for both issues.

What steps can reproduce the bug?

Issue 1: Vertical arrow controls in the Projects list

  1. Open Codex on Windows (Microsoft Store version).
  2. Go to the main app view with the left Projects sidebar visible.
  3. Look at the right side of the project list rows.
  4. A vertical stack of up/down arrow controls appears beside the project items.

Observed result:
Extra arrow controls are rendered in the Projects list.

Expected result:
The Projects list should render normally without any extra arrow controls.

Issue 2: Inconsistent localization after switching app language

  1. Open Codex.
  2. Go to Settings > General > Language.
  3. Change the app language to Chinese.
  4. Fully quit Codex and reopen it.
  5. Open the top menu bar / Help submenu.
  6. Notice that some menu items remain in English.
  7. Change the app language to English.
  8. Fully quit Codex and reopen it again.
  9. Open the Help submenu.
  10. Notice that at least one item remains in Chinese, such as “关于 Codex”.

Observed result:
The menu system shows mixed Chinese and English after language switching.

Expected result:
When Chinese is selected, the menu system should be fully in Chinese.
When English is selected, the menu system should be fully in English.

What is the expected behavior?
