I ask codex to do anything in powershell and no commands return anything. It was also completely confused about what was happening as the first time it happened it explained the problem away by saying it was searching cloud backed folder.
But asking it to run codex --version also fails to return

Repro-d on a colleague's device. We both use WSL CLI as the main codex surface.

Tried changing sandbox from "elevated" to "unelevated" in config.toml, which did make commands return something, but the sandbox is completely broken with extremely safe commands being denied and (very inefficiently) escalated to the auto review bot.

Not a script. This is the Windows sandbox token setup code. The failing call is
SetTokenInformation(TokenDefaultDacl), and error 1344 is ERROR_ALLOTTED_SPACE_EXCEEDED.
The patch should make the default-DACL setup non-fatal for that specific capacity error. That DACL is a
compatibility aid for child-created PowerShell pipes/IPC; the restricted token has already been created. So the
safer behaviour is: try full DACL, retry smaller DACL, then continue with the token’s existing default DACL rather
than killing every command before spawn.

I would not start by changing src/bin/command_runner/win.rs: that runner already sends a spawn_failed error frame
if token creation fails after pipe setup. The immediate bug is that token.rs makes an IPC-helper DACL failure
fatal, so basic commands never get to spawn.
