What version of the Codex App are you using (From “About Codex” dialog)?

26.623.101652

What subscription do you have?

Max 5x

What platform is your computer?

Microsoft Windows NT 10.0.26200.0 x64

What issue are you seeing?

Codex UI unusable on Windows sometimes after using browser or terminal - gets a hand icon and it won’t go away. In the background the UI is still updating, I just can’t performa an actions becuase the cursor is locked on a hand icon and won’t let me press anything. Tabbing around to diffferent fields also works.

Screenshot 1 shows what the icon looks like, looks kind of like a “drag down” icon. Basically the whole surface is unusable at this point, I can’t press on anything, I have to restart to get it working again.

If I do ctrl+shift+p for example, an overlay comes over the top of the main surface, and that works! So it’s like the main surface is the only thing that has the issue.

Another example, say I have the hand issue, like this, then I right click, it shows the “select all” menu!

What steps can reproduce the bug?

While making changes in the main chat window - open a terminal and a browser. Get the chat to make changes in the browser but also manually click in the browser, also in the terminal - it seems to be intermittent so I can't desceibe the exact steps, but after a while the cursor will change, and from that point on the issues above take over until I restart.

What is the expected behavior?

The cursor never gets locked on the "drag" cursor, it just adapts to whatever it's hovering over at the time.
