Lab based Mz magnetometer Automation and sesnitivity calculations

I have performed a tabletop experiment for an Mz magnetometer and have
successfully calculated its sensitivity. Now, I want to fully automate the experimental setup, including the lock-in amplifier (LIA) and the power supplies. My goal is to develop a program that automatically controls the instruments, acquires the measurement data, calculates the magnetometer sensitivity in real time, and optimizes the experimental parameters without requiring manual intervention. I would like to know how to design such a program. Specifically: How should I automate the communication and control of the LIA and power supplies? What measurement sequence should the software follow to ensure accurate sensitivity calculations? How can the program automatically calculate the magnetometer sensitivity from the acquired data? Is this approach physically correct for an MMz magnetometer experiment, or are there additional considerations that should be included in the automation? I am looking for guidance on both the software architecture and the experimental methodology to ensure that the automated system produces reliable and physically meaningful sensitivity measurements.
