I encountered an issue, so I logged out of all accounts that were logged in to Codex. I then tried to log in again to Codex CLI and the Codex App.

When I try to sign in with Google on chatgpt.com, the login works without any issues. However, when I try to sign in with Google through the device code login flow provided by Codex CLI and Codex App (https://auth.openai.com/codex/device), or through the ChatGPT browser login flow (https://auth.openai.com/), I am asked to complete phone verification.

After completing the phone verification step, an error appears and the verification does not complete, so I cannot log in.

What steps can reproduce the bug?

Try logging in through Codex CLI or the Codex App.

What is the expected behavior?
