Not updating existing projects from ChatGPT

What version of the Codex App are you using (From “About Codex” dialog)?

Version 26.707.30751

What subscription do you have?

Plus

What platform is your computer?

Darwin 25.5.0 arm64 arm

What issue are you seeing?

Existing ChatGPT Projects appear normally on chatgpt.com under my Plus account, but the unified ChatGPT desktop app shows only my pre-existing Codex/local projects. This persists after signing out and back in. Please check project sync/migration for my desktop account.

What steps can reproduce the bug?

Windows reproduction confirming the same missing-project behavior.

Environment:

OS: Windows 11 Home, 64-bit, version 10.0.26200 (build 26200)
Subscription: ChatGPT Pro
Microsoft Store package: OpenAI.Codex / ChatGPT 26.707.3351.0
App-reported release components include 26.707.30751
ChatGPT Classic 1.2026.190.0 remains installed alongside the new app

Observed behavior:

Existing cloud ChatGPT Projects remain visible in ChatGPT Classic and on chatgpt.com.
The upgraded former-Codex app shows only pre-existing Codex/local folder projects.
The cloud ChatGPT Project does not appear anywhere in the new app's project sidebar.
Both applications appear signed into the same ChatGPT Pro user.
Microsoft Store reports no newer ChatGPT package is available.

Local diagnostics:

The new app authenticates successfully and loads local Codex threads/projects normally.
Startup logs mount the codex-home route and request local thread/list data, but show no cloud ChatGPT Projects collection being loaded.
No project data was deleted; the cloud project remains accessible in Classic/web.

Expected behavior:
The new unified desktop app should show both existing cloud ChatGPT Projects and local Codex projects, consistent with the current Projects documentation.

No app reset was attempted because it could risk local Codex state and the behavior matches this server/app integration bug.
