Update pull request when using „@codex fix comments“

What feature would you like to see?
Whenever I let Codex review a pull request on GitHub and then use „@codex fix comments“ it will do it, but ask you to create a new branch.
It would be far nicer if it could just create a new commit within that originating branch which fixes the issues to better keep track of changes in one pull request.

Seconded, would LOVE to see this feature because the creating a whole new PR is pretty annoying when you just want codex to make some slight changes and update the current PR. Need to have codex just push commits to the already tagged branch automatically instead of trying to make another new PR
In addition, this is already possible in the web version of Codex. If you create a PR there and ask the chat for additional changes, there's a button to update the PR. I have not tried that yet, but I guess that has to work with new commits.
And make sure it doesn't create a merge conflict. I third this feature.
Yes! codex should offer the same functionality offered by copilot.
On both, code review, fixes and also agentic coding for entire new issues.
Creating a new PR for every action is quite annoying.
Should work on the already created PR
The online codex chat for multiple commits on the same PR works fine, unless you submit a commit from somewhere else.
If you add a commit to the same PR it throws codex off and it doesn't let you keep adding new commits to the same PR.
However it would offer to open a new PR and continue working from there, which includes your commits.
Bottom line those multiple PRs about the same thing are annoying.
would love to see an expected behavior like cursor's bugbot. It does everything just like an actual PR reviewer

This is so necessary, it would relieve a huge bottleneck
+1 I really need it. The scenario is to review this pr with other reviewers, so it's not enough only chatting through codex's webui.
