Feature request: allow Chat to open in full window by default

Summary

In the ChatGPT Work / Codex desktop interface, choosing Chat opens the compact Chat Bar / companion popup first. To use a normal full ChatGPT conversation, the user must then expand the popup.

Requested behavior

Add a preference such as “Open Chat in full window by default”, or have the sidebar Chat item open the full ChatGPT conversation view directly.

Why this matters

The popup is useful for quick questions, but it is an extra and confusing step for users who primarily want the normal ChatGPT interface and chat history. It makes the desktop experience feel less direct than ChatGPT.com.

Current workaround

Open the compact chat and then use the expand/open control, or use ChatGPT.com in a browser.
