Pro Plan doesnt get recognized after upgrade, just whenever you log out and log in again

Which model were you using?

What platform is your computer?

macOS

What steps can reproduce the bug?

Have a openAI GPT Plus subscription, run codex, use it, and then upgrade to Pro plan.

What is the expected behavior?

Upgrade plan in /status

What do you see instead?

I guess I found a bug on Codex (which explains why I hit rate limit so fast) ..... It still thought I am a Plus-User but I upgraded from Plus to Pro. How can I bug-report this?

Are you also seeing pro rate-limits not being applied after upgrade but before re-login?

+1: Upgraded from Free to Plus, after 5 minutes still hitting Plan: Free in Codex after relaunching instance and terminal

To OpenAI: How do you expect to retain paying customers if you don't deliver a digital product "instantly"? It's 2025, this should be a P0 for auth/payment team in Codex

Same issue. Just upgraded from Plus to Pro, Codex won't start in Powershell Terminal nor VS Code extension.
