Codex Remote silently disconnects after ~2 hours with no error

Summary

Codex Remote on the ChatGPT iOS app silently disconnects from the host after roughly two hours of normal use. This has happened on separate occasions while the user was away from the host: once while at an office and again while out at night.

There is no visible error or actionable diagnostic in the mobile Remote surface; it simply becomes disconnected.

Why this is not a basic host-sleep report

The host-side sleep/network/app-closure checks have already been ruled out by the user. The recurring, silent nature of the failure makes this look closer to stale Remote Control presence/session state than a one-off connectivity loss.

Expected behavior

If the remote-control session becomes stale, the host should automatically reconnect or re-enroll, and the mobile app should surface a specific diagnostic if recovery fails. Remote access should remain usable while the host is awake, online, and the Codex app remains open.
