Projects from ChatGPT (Classic) Missing in new ChatGPT (Codex) Update.

What issue are you seeing?
After updating to the new unified ChatGPT macOS desktop application, my previous ChatGPT Projects are no longer visible.
My normal chat history is present, so I am signed into the correct account, but the Projects section and all Projects I previously created and shared with other people are missing from the desktop app.
The previous ChatGPT application was replaced during the update, so I cannot access ChatGPT Classic. I need the Projects restored or made visible in the new macOS application. Please confirm whether this is a known migration issue and whether my Projects remain intact on my account.

To see the Projects in the Left Sidebar like they used to be.

I am not referring to the Codex Projects, those still work. I'm referring to the Projects that were in the ChatGPT side of the application.

This makes the desktop app completely worthless until resolved.
I had the same issue, but found a fix. Ensure the sidebar is visible. If it says Codex at the very top left, click this and then select ChatGPT. You should now see your old projects and chat history. To OpenAI, this was a bad design choice. While I get that Codex is probably going to be interesting to explore, you should have made it easier to see the regular ChatGPT stuff from before. I originally came here to report the same bug as @Electrox3d , then noticed the fix as I was recording steps to reproduce.

Thanks! Bad UX is also a bug though.
I have the same issue, sort of. I found its certain projects not showing up. And it turns out the projects missing are the ones that are Shared with others.
And btw, in reference to saying you cannot access Classic, if I search my mac apps, I do find the ChatGPT Classic, so that has not gone yet, and im using it as we speak.

I can confirm. furthermore, unsharing the project in the android app, where it is still available, makes it reappear in the mac app as well. So either we are missing a (sub)section, where shared projects are supposed to be, or this is indeed a bug with shared projects..
