macOS: restoring Codex App from the Dock leaves Genie trails or skips the Scale animation

What issue are you seeing?

• Minimizing the Codex window animates normally.
• With the Genie effect, restoring from the Dock shows repeated window-edge trails without the Codex interface. The interface appears abruptly when the transition ends.
• With the Scale effect, the trails disappear, but the restore animation is entirely absent. The app pauses briefly and then appears abruptly.
• Enabling Reduce Motion does not resolve the behavior.
• No app crash, renderer/GPU process restart, or page reload was observed.

What steps can reproduce the bug?

1. Launch Codex App on macOS.
2. Maximize its main window on the 1920×1080 display.
3. Set the Dock minimize effect to Genie.
4. Minimize using the yellow window control.
5. Wait approximately two seconds.
6. Click the Codex/ChatGPT Dock icon to restore it.
7. Observe the missing interface and repeated edge trails.
8. Repeat after changing the Dock effect to Scale.
9. Observe that the restore transition is absent and the interface snaps in after a short delay.

What is the expected behavior?

Codex should restore from the Dock like other macOS applications, using stable and complete window contents throughout the transition. It should not leave edge trails, pause, or snap into place.

• Native macOS applications restore normally on the same system.
• Discord, GitHub Desktop, and Visual Studio Code also restore normally, so the problem is not reproduced by other tested Electron applications.
• This makes a Codex-specific window restore/compositing path more likely than a general Dock or Electron issue.
• macOS system logs show the Dock's RestoreWindowWithOrder transaction starting and ending normally, while the complete Codex contents appear only when the window is formally ordered to the foreground.
• A race involving the window surface or an opaque-to-Vibrancy transition during focus/show is only an investigation hypothesis, not a confirmed root cause.
