Make ChatGPT conversation history in Codex opt-in or separable

Feature request

Please make ChatGPT conversation history opt-in inside Codex, or provide a setting to keep ChatGPT and Codex histories completely separate.

Problem

I use ChatGPT for a mix of personal and professional conversations. After the recent app integration, personal chats—such as conversations about caring for my newborn—now appear in Codex, which I use strictly for work.

This is distracting and creates an unnecessary privacy/context boundary problem. Personal ChatGPT history should not automatically surface in a professional coding workspace.

Requested behavior

Provide one or more of the following:

  • A Codex-only mode that does not display ChatGPT conversations
  • Separate ChatGPT and Codex history/navigation
  • A setting to hide ChatGPT history from Codex
  • An explicit opt-in before personal ChatGPT conversations are shown in Codex

Expected default

Cross-surfacing ChatGPT history in Codex should be off by default and enabled only when a user deliberately opts in.
