Please update the extension to support 5.6-Sol, or share the build scripts so it can be packaged for Open VSX and used with VSCodium.

Workaround: in VS Code, open the Codex extension page and choose Download VSIX, then install the downloaded file in Cursor via Extensions: Install from VSIX....

This works for now, but the Open VSX version still needs to be updated.

This doesn't work for me

VSCodium with open-vsx. 5.6 still doesn't work. The extension itself works well and stable with 5.5, but it stay 10 months old.

I started to believe this is done deliberately because Cursor is now owned by xAI.

Switching to pre-release version (released 4 hours ago) helps.

In VSCodium/Cursor/etc go to "Extensions - Codex - Switch to pre-release version"
