Desktop app does not display Projects although they exist on the web

Same account.
Same Plus subscription.
Chats synchronize correctly.
Recent chats are available.
All Projects are visible on chatgpt.com.
The Desktop app shows an empty Projects page and only offers "Create new project".
Restarting the application and checking for updates did not solve the issue.

Title: ChatGPT Projects missing after updating the macOS app
After updating to the new ChatGPT macOS app, my existing ChatGPT Projects no longer appear under Projects in the sidebar.
The projects remain visible on ChatGPT Web and mobile. Individual chats sync correctly, and I am signed into the same account and workspace on every device.
Expected: Existing ChatGPT Projects should sync and appear in the macOS app.

I have the same issue, sort of. I found its certain projects not showing up. And it turns out the projects missing are the ones that are Shared with others.
But they appear in ChatGPT Classic app on Mac... just not the main ChatGPT/Codex app on mac.

None of my Projects are shared and none of them appear in ChatGPT/Codex. They only appear in ChatGPT Classic and in the web client.
