Add toggle behavior for desktop pet click to show/hide ChatGPT window

What variant of Codex are you using?

App (Desktop pet / overlay feature)

What feature would you like to see?

I would like to see a toggle interaction for the desktop pet.

Currently, clicking the pet opens or focuses the ChatGPT/Codex window. However, clicking the pet again does not hide or minimize the window, which makes the pet feel more like a shortcut button rather than a true desktop companion.

It would be more intuitive if the pet supported toggle behavior:

  • First click → Open or focus the ChatGPT window
  • Second click → Hide or minimize the ChatGPT window
  • Clicking the pet again → Bring it back

This would make the desktop pet behave more like a traditional desktop widget or assistant.

An optional setting would also be useful, allowing users to choose between:

  • Single-click: always open/focus ChatGPT
  • Toggle mode: click to show/hide ChatGPT

Additional information

The current behavior is convenient for launching ChatGPT, but it lacks a quick way to dismiss the window without using the taskbar/dock or keyboard shortcuts.

Since the desktop pet is already a persistent interactive element, using it as a show/hide toggle would improve usability and make the feature feel more polished.
