Pop-out chat content disappears while resizing the window
What issue are you seeing?
While using the ChatGPT desktop application (the unified ChatGPT/Codex app), I noticed an issue with the pop-out chat window.
When the chat is opened in a separate pop-out window, resizing the window causes the conversation content to temporarily disappear instead of reflowing normally.
The content area becomes blank during the resize operation and then reappears afterward. This makes resizing feel unstable and makes it difficult to adjust the window while continuing to read the conversation.
What steps can reproduce the bug?
- Open a conversation.
- Pop the chat out into its own window.
- Resize the window by dragging one of the edges or corners.
- Observe that the conversation content disappears during the resize instead of remaining visible.
What is the expected behavior?
The conversation should remain visible while the window is being resized.
The content should continuously reflow to fit the new window dimensions without disappearing or flashing.
