What version of the Codex App are you using (From “About Codex” dialog)?

ChatGPT version: 26.707.62119 (released 13 July 2026)

What subscription do you have?

plus

What platform is your computer?

macOS version: Tahoe 26.5.2 (build 25F84)

What issue are you seeing?

Issue:After updating the ChatGPT macOS app, shared Projects no longer appear in the desktop app.

Steps to reproduce:

Open the updated ChatGPT macOS app.

Sign in to an account that has access to shared Projects.

Navigate to the Projects section.

Observe that the app displays “No projects.”

Sign in to the same account at chatgpt.com.

Observe that the shared Projects appear correctly in the browser.

Expected result:Shared Projects should appear under the Projects section in the macOS app, matching the projects available on chatgpt.com.

Actual result:The macOS app displays “No projects,” while the same account shows the shared Projects correctly on chatgpt.com.

Additional information:Local project cache folders are present under ~/Library/Application Support/com.openai.chat/, indicating that project data may have been downloaded. However, the desktop app does not render the shared Projects in its interface.

This appears to be a desktop-app display or project-indexing issue rather than an account-access problem, because the Projects remain accessible through the browser.

What steps can reproduce the bug?
