Problem

Connecting the Slack plugin in Codex Desktop fails before the Slack consent screen appears.

Error

invalid_scope_requested

Slack displays:

Unable to install ChatGPT. Invalid requested permissions.

Environment

  • Slack workspace: W.RINES
  • Slack workspace ID: T0BGU00159D
  • User role: Primary workspace owner
  • The workspace is accessible and Slack login works normally.
  • Codex does not expose Action control for this account.

Expected behavior

Slack should display the OAuth consent screen and allow the workspace owner to authorize the integration.

Actual behavior

The OAuth flow is redirected incorrectly, then Slack rejects the requested scopes. The Allow button never appears.
