ChatGPT Work randomly crashes and causes severe startup lag (still happening after repeated reports)

What issue are you seeing?

ChatGPT Work closes unexpectedly without any error message.
This happens both while actively working (coding, chatting, or running tasks) and even when the application is idle. The window simply disappears as if the application crashed.
This issue has been happening repeatedly for a long time. I have already submitted multiple feedback reports, but the problem continues to occur.
The crashes are unpredictable and happen several times a day, making it difficult to use ChatGPT Work reliably.
No crash dialog or error message is shown.

What is the expected behavior?

ChatGPT Work should remain stable and responsive.

The application should not cause noticeable system lag during startup and should not close unexpectedly while running or idle.

If an internal error occurs, it should display a crash dialog or provide diagnostic logs instead of silently exiting.

Since this issue has been repeatedly reported and has significantly disrupted my workflow, I would also appreciate appropriate compensation for the lost usage and productivity, such as temporary ChatGPT Pro/Max access or equivalent usage credits, while the issue is being investigated.

Additional information

Another major issue is severe system lag whenever I open ChatGPT Work.

The lag happens immediately after launching the application, even before I open a chat, start a new conversation, or open any project. For several moments, the entire computer becomes noticeably slow and less responsive.

This does not seem related to a heavy project or active task, because it also happens when the application is opened in an idle state.

My computer specifications should be more than sufficient for this application:

• Windows 11 Pro
• Intel Core i5-11400F
• 32 GB RAM
• NVIDIA RTX 5060 Ti 16 GB

Other applications generally run normally. The lag is specifically noticeable when launching ChatGPT Work, followed by the separate issue where the application may randomly close without any error message.

GitHub suggested issue #32769 as a potential duplicate. However, my issue is broader than a startup crash. Besides the startup lag, the application also closes unexpectedly while I am actively working or even while it is idle. This issue has persisted across multiple updates, and I have already reported it several times through the feedback system.
