Codex Remote should deliver notifications reliably to all authorized mobile devices

What variant of Codex are you using?

ChatGPT mobile app + Codex desktop app (Remote)

What feature would you like to see?

Codex Remote should treat every paired and authorized mobile device as a first-class notification endpoint.

When a remote task completes, needs input, or requests approval, the notification should reliably reach every authorized phone signed into the same ChatGPT account. Alternatively, users should have clear per-device notification delivery settings.

Additional information

Real-world scenario:

  • I use multiple phones for mobile work, all signed into the same ChatGPT account and paired with the Codex host.
  • Codex Remote notifications do not reliably arrive on every phone.
  • As a result, I may miss task completions, approval requests, or questions depending on which phone I am carrying.

Expected behavior:

  • Notifications are synchronized across all authorized mobile devices, or delivery can be configured per device.
  • Notification state should remain consistent when switching devices.
  • Pairing a second phone should not silently make the first phone stop receiving Codex Remote notifications.

This would make Codex Remote much more dependable as a multi-device mobile workspace.
