What version of the Codex App are you using (From “About Codex” dialog)?

Versão 26.707.62119

What subscription do you have?

ChatGPT Pro ($200/month)

What platform is your computer?

Darwin 25.5.0 arm64 arm

What issue are you seeing?

I encountered a problem with the weekly usage reset.

At the time of the issue, I still had 3 usage resets available.

I used one reset expecting my weekly usage to return to 100%. The reset was consumed successfully (I then had only 2 resets remaining), but my weekly usage indicator stayed at 0% instead of resetting.

Because of this, I had to consume a second usage reset before my weekly usage finally returned to 100%.

Expected behavior:

  • Consuming one usage reset should immediately restore the weekly usage allowance to 100%.
  • Only one reset should be required.

Actual behavior:

  • The first reset was deducted from my available resets.
  • The weekly usage remained at 0%.
  • I had to spend a second reset to actually restore my weekly usage to 100%.

As a result, one reset appears to have been consumed without providing the expected benefit.

What steps can reproduce the bug?

  1. Open the Codex macOS app.
  2. Wait until the weekly usage reaches 0%.
  3. Click "Reset Limits" (use one available usage reset).
  4. Wait for the reset to complete.

Actual result:

  • One usage reset is consumed.
  • The weekly usage remains at 0% instead of returning to 100%.

I then had to use a second usage reset, which finally restored my weekly usage to 100%.

This issue occurred on July 15, 2026, at approximately 06:00 AM (GMT-3, Brazil).

What is the expected behavior?

Using a single usage reset should immediately restore the weekly usage allowance to 100%.

A usage reset should only be deducted after it has been successfully applied. If the reset cannot be applied, it should either be retried automatically or refunded to the user.

In my case, the first reset was consumed but had no effect, forcing me to spend a second reset to restore my weekly usage.
