What issue are you seeing?
On macOS, handing a chat off to Work created a new task but did not switch to it. The original chat became unresponsive and showed indefinite activity. I had to force-quit the app several times. The issue occurred twice on July 15, 2026. Handoffs had worked previously.
What steps can reproduce the bug?

Similar issue on Windows 10 using latest Version 26.715.31925. Branching new chat hangs for about a minute, did not have to restart though.
Same issue on ChatGPT Mac app. Can't handoff from Chat to Work mode. App freezes and attempts to create a new chat. When I close and reopen ChatGPT app and try using the new chat it shows an error.
