Windows: Severe UI lag and "Not Responding" after updating Codex Desktop to v26.707.72221

What issue are you seeing?

After updating Codex Desktop to version 26.707.72221, the entire Codex interface becomes extremely laggy.

Symptoms:

• Moving the mouse inside the Codex window causes severe stuttering.
• Clicking anywhere in the Codex UI freezes the application.
• Scrolling is very slow.
• Windows frequently reports "ChatGPT (Not Responding)".
• CPU, RAM and Disk usage remain normal while this happens.
• ChatGPT Classic works perfectly on the same machine.
• Only Codex is affected.

I completely uninstalled and reinstalled the application, but the issue still exists.

Multiple Windows users have reported similar issues after this update.

What is the expected behavior?

The Codex interface should remain responsive and perform similarly to previous versions.

Mouse movement, clicking and scrolling should be smooth, just like ChatGPT Classic.
