Codex Desktop project grouping disappeared from sidebar

What issue are you seeing?

After a recent Codex App update/restart, the project grouping in the left sidebar disappeared.
My previous threads/projects are no longer grouped by project, although some conversations may still be visible in chronological view.

What steps can reproduce the bug?

1. Open the Codex desktop app on Windows.
2. Sign in to my account.
3. Open several existing conversations that were previously organized under different projects.
4. Close and restart the Codex app.
5. Check the left sidebar.

The project groupings are no longer displayed. Existing conversations are either shown without their original project grouping or are difficult to locate.

This issue affects the Codex App user interface and is not caused by a specific repository or code snippet, so no code snippet is applicable.

The issue persists after:

• Restarting the Codex app
• Signing out and signing back in
• Refreshing/reopening the sidebar
• Restarting Windows

The conversations themselves may still exist, but the project names and project-based grouping in the sidebar have disappeared.

What is the expected behavior?

Existing conversations should remain grouped under their original projects in the left sidebar.

After restarting or updating the Codex app, the app should preserve:

• Existing project names
• The association between each conversation and its project
• The project-based organization of conversations in the sidebar

The project groupings should not disappear unless the user explicitly deletes or reorganizes them.
