The official Gmail plugin is installed and enabled, but its connector tools are
not exposed to the active Codex CLI session.
codex plugin list reports:
gmail@openai-curated installed, enabled 11c74d6b
When I ask Codex to check my mail, it loads the Gmail skill but receives no
callable Gmail or codex_apps tools. It therefore cannot search or read my
inbox.
No connector error appears because no Gmail tool call can be attempted—the
tools are absent from the session. Codex also does not offer an authorization
or reconnection flow.
No emails were read, changed, or sent.
What steps can reproduce the bug?

What is the expected behavior?
When the Gmail plugin is installed and enabled, Codex CLI should expose its
Gmail connector tools to the session so Codex can access the connected inbox.
If Gmail authorization is missing, expired, or disconnected, Codex should
present a clear authorization or reconnection flow instead of loading the
Gmail skill without its required tools.
Additional information
This appears to involve plugin-to-app connector registration or session tool
injection rather than a Gmail search failure.
