Bug: No option to delete chats in macOS desktop app (v26.707.91948)

The macOS ChatGPT desktop app does not provide any option to delete chats.
There is no visible delete button, three-dot menu, or context menu for conversations. Right-clicking a chat only shows the macOS "Look Up" menu.
The same account can delete chats normally in ChatGPT on Safari, so this appears to be specific to the macOS desktop app.
What steps can reproduce the bug?
- Open the ChatGPT desktop app on macOS.
- Select any existing conversation.
- Hover over the chat and look for a delete option.
- Right-click (or Control-click) the conversation.
- Attempt to find a way to delete the chat.
Result: No delete option is available anywhere in the UI.
What is the expected behavior?
Users should be able to delete conversations from the desktop app, similar to the web version.
Expected options could include:
- A three-dot (⋯) menu
- A Delete option on hover
- A context menu on right-click
- Any other visible delete action
Currently none of these are available.

The issue persists after a clean reinstall of the app.
The same account works correctly in Safari, where chat deletion is available.
Right-clicking a conversation only opens the macOS "Look Up" menu instead of a ChatGPT context menu.
The app reports "Powered by Codex & OWL."

I can independently reproduce this on Windows.
Environment:
This report specifically concerns regular ChatGPT conversations displayed inside the combined ChatGPT/Codex desktop app, not native Codex threads.
Steps reproduced:
Actual result:
There is no visible Delete action, three-dot conversation menu, or usable context-menu action for deleting the ChatGPT conversation from the desktop app.
Expected result:
ChatGPT conversations should expose the same clear Delete action available through the normal ChatGPT conversation-management interface.
This confirms that the problem is not limited to macOS. It also affects the Windows x64 desktop app.
This is distinct from #24417: that issue concerns deletion of native Codex threads, while this issue concerns ordinary ChatGPT conversations displayed within the desktop application.
There is a workaround.
Archive the chat or work.
Then go the "Settings" of the GPT app, go to the bottom and choose "Archived Chats".
On the right you will see the archived chats.
There will be a RED bin icon, to permanently delete the archive!

Am I really expected to first archive the chat every time I want to delete it?? Is this a joke?
I don't thing you are expected to archive first. He was just telling a temporary workaround.
bug still present on version 26.730.61639. Please fix this. Deleting chats should be on a first level menu, not only accessible after archiving
