I am using Codex CLI with a ChatGPT Plus subscription for authorized penetration-testing training in an isolated OffSec OSEP lab environment.
During normal troubleshooting and analysis of OSEP lab exercises, Codex CLI intermittently replaces the response with the following message:

What is the expected behavior?
Codex CLI should provide a normal response to benign prompts and authorized troubleshooting requests made within an isolated OffSec OSEP training environment.
For OSEP-related prompts, Codex should evaluate each request individually. Legitimate questions involving command errors, tool usage, lab analysis, or educational penetration-testing workflows should receive an appropriate response when they do not request prohibited activity.
Additional information
I attempted to resolve the issue by signing out of Codex CLI and signing in again with the same ChatGPT Plus account. The reauthentication completed successfully, but the issue persisted.
I also restarted the terminal and launched a new Codex CLI session. The same “This content can't be shown” message continued to appear, including after benign inputs.
This suggests the issue is not caused by an expired local session or a temporary authentication failure. It may be related to account-level safety state, session-level classification, or a false-positive cybersecurity safeguard that persists across new CLI sessions.
