Summary
During an update on macOS, the previously usable Codex desktop application was removed or replaced without a warning that the standalone application would disappear. After updating to the latest ChatGPT desktop version offered by the updater, the replacement application still does not show a Codex mode, Codex tab, or the existing Codex projects/sessions.
