Description

After updating the Codex desktop app, interacting with links or buttons inside the built-in browser can cause the application to crash or relaunch.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Open the Codex desktop app.
  2. Start or open a conversation that uses the built-in browser.
  3. Click a link, button, or interactive element inside the browser.
  4. The Codex app crashes or unexpectedly relaunches.

Expected behavior

The link or button should open or execute normally without affecting the Codex desktop app.

Actual behavior

The application closes or relaunches. Windows records a crash involving ChatGPT.exe with exception code:

0xc06d007f

Frequency

The issue is reproducible consistently after the latest update.
