Cannot start a chat outside a project on an SSH-connected remote machine

After the latest update, it is no longer possible to start a chat not in a project on a remote machine connected via SSH. I may be missing the relevant control, but I cannot figure out how to do it.

What is the expected behavior?

It should be possible to start a new chat on the SSH-connected remote machine without first creating or selecting a project. The user should also be able to choose at this point that the chat runs on the connected remote machine, rather than on the local computer or in the cloud, for example via a selector such as “Run this chat” with an SSH or remote-machine option.
