Bug report: macOS app shows Free plan despite active Plus subscription
Issue
I have an active ChatGPT Plus subscription, but the ChatGPT desktop app for macOS displays my account as being on the Free plan and shows the Free-plan usage/token allowance.
Environment
- Device: MacOS Sequoia 15.7.4 (24G517)
- App: ChatGPT desktop app for macOS
- ChatGPT subscription: Plus
- ChatGPT app version: 26.715.21425
Troubleshooting already attempted
- Confirmed that the Plus subscription is active.
- Confirmed that I am signed into the correct account.
- [Signed out and back in.]
- [Restarted/reinstalled the macOS app.]
- [Confirmed that Plus appears correctly in the web version.]
Could you please check whether the desktop app is failing to synchronize the subscription status with my account?
What steps can reproduce the bug?
- Open the ChatGPT macOS app.
- Sign in using the account associated with my Plus subscription.
- Open the account or plan information.
- The app displays “Free” and applies or displays the Free-plan usage allowance.
What is the expected behavior?
The macOS app should recognize my active Plus subscription and display the correct plan and associated usage limits.
Actual behavior
The desktop app identifies my account as Free, even though the same account has an active Plus subscription.
