What issue are you seeing?

Since switching from old ChatGPT (now Classic) and Codex to the new unified app, my projects are not showing up. I can see them through the web UI or when using the ChatGPT Classic version which is why I continue using it instead of the new app. But the work integration is missing there so I'm looking for a fix to clean this up. What can I do?

Windows desktop app missing my only shared ChatGPT Project

After updating to the unified ChatGPT/Codex desktop app, one long-running ChatGPT Project disappeared from the Windows desktop app.

Environment

  • Windows 11
  • ChatGPT desktop version: 26.721.41059

Observed behavior

  • The missing Project is my only shared Project.
  • It is still visible and fully accessible on chatgpt.com.
  • It is still visible and fully accessible in the mobile app.
  • All of my non-shared Projects appear normally in the Windows desktop app.
  • The missing Project was pinned before the update.
  • Desktop search does not surface the Project or its conversations.

Troubleshooting already attempted

  • Confirmed the same OpenAI account is being used.
  • Checked whether the Projects section was collapsed.
  • Searched for the Project and conversations by name.
  • Logged out and back in.
  • Reinstalled the Windows desktop app.
  • Confirmed the issue has persisted since the unified app update.

Because the only missing Project is also my only shared Project, this may be specific to how shared Projects are indexed or synchronized in the Windows desktop app.
