Intel Mac menu bar dropdown items are not clickable

Summary

On an Intel Mac running macOS 13, the ChatGPT/Codex desktop app menu bar dropdown opens, but the items inside it are not clickable.

Environment

  • OS: macOS 13
  • Platform: macOS
  • Hardware/chip: Intel Mac
  • App: ChatGPT/Codex desktop app after the recent unified desktop update
  • App version: unknown / can provide if needed

Current behavior

The menu bar dropdown can be opened, but clicking the entries inside it does not trigger the expected action. Affected entries include items such as:

  • pinned chats/tasks
  • recent chats/tasks
  • More
  • New Chat
  • Open ChatGPT
  • Quit ChatGPT

In practice, the top/menu-bar workflow becomes unusable because the menu appears visually but does not respond to clicks.

Expected behavior

All menu bar dropdown items should be clickable and should trigger their corresponding actions on Intel Macs running macOS 13.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Use the ChatGPT/Codex desktop app on an Intel Mac running macOS 13.
  2. Open the app's menu bar dropdown.
  3. Try clicking entries such as New Chat, Open ChatGPT, Quit ChatGPT, pinned items, recent items, or More.
  4. Observe that the items do not respond.

Possibly related to #34048, but this report is specifically about menu bar dropdown item interactivity, not only titlebar/toolbar visual layout.
